Manpa Tungston Carbide Rotary Burrs Large 1/4" Shaft
 
This all new range of Large Burrs for work in tight spaces and curves is now available.
 
The 1/4" shaft fits Die Grinders and similar machines BUT is NOT for use with flexible shafts machines. Fits the Manpa Mini Collet for direct connection to an angle grinder.

1 1/8 inch Sphere Burr 1/4 inch shank
Very efficient waste removal with no vibration and excellent controllability for such an aggressive burr. Trialled on four machines the Makita grinder was way too fast for my liking but the Ronix variable speed grinder was the ideal tool and was able to run on half speed with confidence. Battery powered straight and pistol grip grinders handled the bit well but battery life was reduced. 
Summary
I would highly recommend this burr in combination with the Ronix variable speed die grinder because of the peace of mind and safety aspect of the speed control. Excellent for quick and effective waste removal on both hardwood and softwood. Used on Bluegum, Redgum, Maple and Huon pine. Care should always be taken but pay particular attention to run out due to the aggressive nature of the burr.

Manapa Straight Burr 2½ inch x 3/8 inch ¼ inch shank
Very efficient waste removal. 
I was impressed with the fact that the cutting tips on the burr were aligned to leave a smooth cut as opposed to some other cutters that have to be moved back-and-forth to eliminate grooves left by the cutting tips.
Summary
Very efficient waste removal with no vibration and excellent controllability for such an aggressive burr. Trialled on four machines the Makita die grinder was way too fast for my liking. The Ronix variable speed grinder was the ideal tool and was able to run on half speed with confidence. Battery powered straight and pistol grip die grinders handled the bit well but battery life was reduced. Quick waste removal with a uniform finish similar to 100 grit surface.
Care should be taken with run out due to the aggressive cut.
